March 26th: Spring seems a bit late this year.
Finally the snow is gone, but it's still cold! |
| Again Mom and I planted seeds, but this year, we staggered the plantings so the different plants germinate at about the same time. |  |

New for this year is the home brew "Propagation Station".
We copied a $500 store bought rig, for less that $100. Home Depot had closeout light fixtures for $5, the rack was on sale too! |
| These are the store bought planters. They use a water tray below, and a layer of fabric to wick the water to the upper area. |  |

Our budget version uses a foil pan below, and some felt to wick the water up to the peat pots. It works! |
| June 28th: We missed out on the tilling and planting pictures, but our garden has gotten off to a great start this year. |  |
