Summer of 2004 at Lake Sapphire
What a summer!

The water is up for the spring! Not too much going on yet, it's been a cool spring.

Mike and Ryan try to catch some fish.

July 3rd, Plenty of sun and a nice breeze, the water is up too!
July 4th. Not many people up this year.
It was cold, rainy and windy. Carol and my dad trying to light a fire with wet wood.
Mike had to go and get things cooking for them.
Mike set off a few bottle rockets before dark.

We had a nice selection of the "good" kind of fireworks, a change from what we normally have.

5th of July, the wind was howling! That's foam from the lake blowing onto the beach!
July 16th, Carol and I took the paddleboat out for the evening. We had great luck that night.

This is the 27" pike I hooked. He fought great, but we had to go and get pliers to get the hook out.

We carefully removed the hooks, and left him go for another day.

After the pike, we went back out and caught this nice 17" Largemouth Bass.

We caught a few other smaller bass and a tiny perch too! What a night, best so far!

Peace and quiet at the cottage

Our boat had some "technical difficulties", we had to change our some parts in the outdrive before we could use it this summer.

We finally got that fixed, and in the water!

Jenny's Boyfriend, Matt, out on the tube.
Ryan's turn
Mike, on the tube. He took a few laps on the skis too!
We have to hook into the sewer system by October.
We are having that done soon.
A few weeks later, we're tied in. Now we get a sewer bill up here too!
