Wow, it's almost 2012! I finally got a chance to do some updates.
We spent a few summers rebuilding a little cottage, and now we're deep in the Mother of all projects, we're building a new home from scratch!

Fuel prices are out of this world! We did finally get the dredge in the water to make a few passes. A new toy to play with too.

Tragedy strikes! I was going to make a lunch hour dash to Harbor Freight, and my new truck and all of my tools were GONE!

We opened the cottage, and took a trip to see how the lake levels look. I can't believe how high the water is! We brought the Rover home for some work, and we bought another Ford tractor to add to the collection.

Back north to finish the spring setup for the dredge. We did a bit of dredging too! We found a 3 point Bush Hog for the tractor.

Finally, we took a trip north! A bit of work on the Rover. Some welding and ignition repair on Dumpy. Spring is here, and the ice is almost gone from Bloom Lake!

I cut over to the PHP style site, and I'm trying a new background gradient too. I changed the colors to blend a bit better. Thanks Denny! If you don't like these colors, pick some new ones from the Browser Safe Color Chart

Happy New Year! We've updated the look of the site a bit. I cleaned things up, and finished off the 2004 dredge page. Winter is here, and I can't wait until spring!

We found an old Ford Backhoe and some old 3-point equipment laying in a field. We're trying to find out more info on the makes and models of it all.

We have all of the equipment put away and ready for the long winter nap. We took some time to hunt during the rifle season, Mike scored a doe.

We finally have a permit! I took a few days off work, and headed north to dredge!

Happy 4th of July! We had a good time at Lake Sapphire
The DEQ now found that part of our spoils basin is a wetland! poop!
I installed a new starter on the dozer engine and it runs! I re-installed the tire on the loader too. The lake level is steady, but the weeds are up!

The DEQ is giving is a hassle about testing the spoils for "toxic" material. I think this permit might take awhile. The boys worked on the tree house and Carol and I drove the Rover around the property a bit. The dozer engine is coming along fine, I should have it ready to fire soon.
The lake level is up another 12 to 14 inches from the beginning of May!!

We had the site inspection, but the dredge batteries are dead, we need some new ones! The DEQ said we should have a permit by June!

We didn't dredge this weekend, waiting for a DEQ site inspection. We did pull an engine and the boys built a tree house Checkout the lake levels too!

Holy Cow! Look at the water levels in Bloom! The permit application went out for public notice. The comment period ends on April 15th, we should here back soon. Check out Carol's new toy too.

The DEQ has my new details logged in, now it has to go off to The Cadillac office for review! Hurry up spring, I hear there is still about 8 inches of snow on the ground.

Wow, our web server lost the connection to the web, they where in and out for a few days, but finally got it fixed, I thought I forgot to pay the bill! The DEQ has sent my application back for further details, spring is almost here, and I'm ready to start digging!

Happy New Year! It's been a while since an update, but it's been a busy winter. Spring is on it's way, and I can hardly wait. Our dredge permit expires in May, so I've mailed in an application for another permit, wish me luck! The DEQ has the status online, (set Water body to "Bloom Lake")
